The doctor said that I had a severe case of Tendinitis and that I should stop the walk immediately or risk serious permanent damage. Being me (stubborn and too proud for my own good), I decided to ask for painkillers and anti-inflammatories and I tried pressing on to Nottingham, walking on pretty much one foot and a hiking pole.
Three days later my other foot has started up with the same pains making it near impossible for me to walk from village to village, let alone the more extensive distances. And so it is with regret that I have had to call off the walk, after having reached over 610 miles.
I appreciate everybody who has supported me along the way on my journey and I want to thank you all for both the encouragement that kept me going and the generous donations to the charity. Together we raised over £700 for this worthwhile cause.
I wish you all the best going on into the future.
Andrew
